Jacqueline Allwood

Jacqueline Allwood has been a glass engraver since 1977, specialising in botanical art as well as lettering on studio glass. She also works in engraving, woodcuts and glass sculpture, cross-fertilising her ideas in these media.

Michela Antonello FCLAS

Calligraphy, lettering and illumination on paper and vellum using metal nibs, quills and brushes; wood-mounted linocuts; traditional and modern gilding. Specialising in commemorative pieces, especially remembrance books, presentation scrolls, certificates, wall pieces and personalised slate plates. Digital design for printed materials and lasercutting. Commissions range from place cards to public art.

Catherine Bootland

Catherine graduated from Roehampton and is a lettering artist based in South London. Having spent several years teaching in colleges and working on commissions she now works on creating expressive pieces for exhibitions and illustrating her own books and text.

Paula Comparini

Paula graduated from Reigate School of Art and Design in 2002, and has been working as a freelance calligrapher since 2003. Working to commission from her studio in London, Paula’s clients include many leading event companies as well as poems, readings or vows for individuals. Paula is a member of CLAS and SSI.

Beverley Davidson

Beverley Davidson is a calligrapher based in South London specialising in copperplate script on: invitations, place cards, envelopes, escort cards and certificates. She provides calligraphy for weddings, corporate events and private clients.

Nicola Dunn

Fascinated by letterforms since childhood, Nicola is a calligraphy teacher who has participated in the SSI Advanced Training Scheme: a 3-year course that helped to established her own style. Her preference is for free, built-up letterforms on any surface, but fabric is a favourite.

Rosella Garavaglia

Rosella Garavaglia is a South West London calligrapher  providing services including wedding stationery, poems, for clients such as The Bespoke Wedding Company, Bulgari, and The British Library. A freelance lettering artist, Rosella designs and executes lettering in a variety of media including calligraphy and design for print, also inscriptions in wood, stone, glass and on collage. She alternates working on commissions for individual clients and public and private institutions to creating expressive pieces for exhibitions.

Lu Guthrie

Lu Guthrie trained at Roehampton University (Surrey) 2005 in Calligraphy, Bookbinding and Illumination, then Heraldry at Reigate College. 
Winner of the Scriveners Prize for calligraphy, illumination and Heraldry.
For the last 20 years, working as a professional calligrapher for Bond Street brands, Condè Nast magazines, National art Galleries, Museums, events companies and private clients. 

Gwyneth Hibbett

Gwyneth is a calligrapher and lettering artist based in North London. She creates a wide variety calligraphic works including presentation certificates, memorial books, family trees and poetry.

She completed the Advanced Training Scheme of the Society of Scribes & Illuminators and is an accredited tutor for CLAS.

Katie Lavers

Katie graduated from Reigate School of Art and Design in 2001 and went on to get a degree in Graphic Design at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in 2006. She has worked on various different freelance work including wedding stationery, invitations, envelopes, table plans, place cards and commissioned work.
