Pen Patterned Shapes with Joy Daniels

Our workshop with Joy Daniels on 26th September will go ahead as a ZOOM CLASS instead of meeting together at Aspire, as originally planned.
The class will start with a 1.5 – 2 hour zoom session and then break for 2 hours to work on your own projects, then re-convene via ZOOM
, for a further 1.5 – 2 hours to summarise, ask questions and show work. Joy is experienced in teaching via zoom and thinks that this topic will lend itself well to this format. Easy to follow instructions on how to log onto the class, will be given by Joy.
The cost will be £18 for SLLA members (£20 non members). A brief outline of materials required is below.

Materials required (in brief) – a more detailed list will be provided when you book on:
1.Flexible pointed nibs, the type suitable for copperplate
- Dark coloured paper/ black (white can be used if desired)
- Finetech paints if you have them or gouache paints in light colours or Dr. Martin’s Bleedproof White, otherwise stronger colours for working on white or lighter papers.
- Crayons for colouring in.
- Large shapes (numbers, letters) suitable for filling in. Joy will email images out before the class, but you might wish to collect/design your own. Also, food packaging sometimes has interesting cut out shapes on the cardboard packaging.

We welcome everyone to join our workshops, but offer priority booking for our members until 8 weeks prior to the event. If you are a non-member, you can register your interest for the workshop and your place will be confirmed once priority booking closes. Please email Nicola Dunn, our events coordinator, who will let you know if spaces are available. If so, Nicola will provide you with online banking or cheque details, and, once your payment is received, she will book your place on the workshop.
