Workshop, Saturday 26 January 2019

I have often looked at a piece of work where someone has cleverly fitted together pictures and
different styles, weights and colours of text and wondered how it’s done. Our first workshop of
2019 with Josie Brown was designed to explain and unravel the mysteries.
Josie began by taking us through the various elements we need to consider before putting a
multitext panel together, then showed us examples of different types of panels and then moved on
to small group projects with each group being given a brief and asked to produce ideas for a panel.
In the afternoon everyone had the opportunity to start working on a panel of their own. Lots of
work with scissors, paste & sticky tape and some great results put on display at the end of the
afternoon. A thoroughly enjoyable day – many thanks Josie.
A full report on this workshop by Helen Parkin will appear in the next issue of the Inc.

There is a similar workshop with Josie Brown workshop in November, 2020. It is worth to follow the events page, where all upcoming workshops are published, so you can plan accordingly when the day comes.
