Rosella Garavaglia

Rosella Garavaglia is a visual artist, she has worked as a calligrapher & lettering artist in a variety of media including design for print, inscriptions in wood, stone, glass, and collage. Although she still examines how writing can convey emotion and ideas, lately she has focused more on Asemic Writing—a style of creating marks on a page that do not form words, where the message comes from the flow, intensity, and movement of the marks rather than language itself. This artistic approach is evident in her mixed-media paintings and collages created on recycled board books, where the choice of materials and the techniques used are deeply connected.
