Archibald Knox - Online Zoom Workshop with Josie Brown

The link-up times for this Zoom class will be 10:00am-12:00 and 2:00-3:00pm.  This allows for a break of 2 hours between 12:00 and 2:00 to work on your own.

Archibald Knox, from the Isle of Man, was a designer for Liberty's at the height of their success.  His work is a unique combination of designs from the Arts and Crafts Movement, Celtic knotwork and Art Nouveau.  This workshop will introduce lettering that is suitable for the interwoven decoration and we will approach how to create the designs in a step by step manner.  We will also look at which mediums work most effectively and try out a technique that gives the effect of stained glass or enamelling.
