Monoline Lettering with Mark L’Argent

The last SLLA workshop of 2018 was Monoline Lettering with Mark L’Argent. Mark gave us a demonstration in examples of basic Monoline compressed capitals. He explained how to achieve harmony in groups of letters and how to change the emphasis by moving crosslines on letters.

We were then encouraged to try them for ourselves, to choose a basic shape such as a triangle and see how many letters we could make using a variation on that shape.
Some interesting variations were produced and there was lots of good work for the show and tell at the end of the workshop.
