About this event:
This year's walk will explore the Barbican Estate, the planned Modernist development in an area of the City of London that was reduced to rubble in the Blitz. Love it or hate it, the Barbican is an important part of the history of the City and stands as a reminder of how architects envisioned urban living in the 1960s and 1970s. Don't worry - the concrete world of the Barbican will be balanced with some traditional City stops on the way there and back.
We will meet for a prompt 6:00pm start in Paternoster Square (by the column), by St Paul's. The walk will last about 90 minutes and will end at the west end of Cheapside. The start and finish are both close to St Paul's Tube.
